Design Technology

sunpathSolinear have invested in the use of the latest computer software available to assist in the design and manufacture of its solar shading, architectural louvre and access walkway products.

We design all of our products using industry-standard Autocad Mechanical and Inventor 3D design and drafting software, allowing us to supply our drawings and design documents in electronic format that can easily be incorporated into your work.

Sunpath analysis can be carried out by our design engineers to support our proposals.  This software uses predictive raycasting technology to allow the assessment and calculation of shadow paths and indicate where the shading is cast by our products on any given day, ensuring complete accuracy and maximum effectiveness in our system performances.

Accurate cutting and assembly of all our manufactured products is achieved using the latest optimisation software to ensure precise cutting and minimum waste of raw materials.

Louvre Performance Testing

Solinear Aquarius XLINE louvre product range has been development tested using the BSRIA test facility at Bracknell which enables the aerodynamic and weather performance of a louvre to be tested in accordance with EN13030. 

Results derived from the testing of the Aquarius XLINE louvre system allow Solinear to offer to our customers the most comprehensive advice on its product selection and suitability for any given purpose. 

The technical performance data is available upon request for each of its louvre products and allows Solinear to recommend and offer louvre systems for most specified weather or airflow performance requirements.

 BSRIA Testing

The photograph shows the Aquarius XLINE-AQ50-2 double bank 'chevron' louvre system under test at BSRIA where it achieved Class A rain performance up to 1.50m/s.
