Solinear were specified by Leslie Jones Architects to develop a system to control noise levels from the associated plant room at INTU Uxbridge – an £85 million project, comprising 400,000 sq ft of retail space, 11 restaurants, a nine-screen Odeon cinema and 30 residential units.
Task
Working from an acoustic report and the clients’ steelwork and measurements, Solinear designed a system that cancelled noise coming out of the roof-top plant room while letting in very important airflow inside.
Action
Solinear designed, manufactured, supplied and installed their Aquarius AQ100 louvre screens and Soundex S100-GS to the inside of the plant screen to achieve the desired outcome.
The Result
The outcome was a really a clean a tidy installation of the composite screen, comprising of the architectural louvres with mitred corners to the external face and the smooth acoustic panel installation of the plant screen – all delivered on time for Princebuild.
