Project

Project: Eleather – Peterborough Gateway
Client: Speedclad / Winvic
Architect: UMC Architects
Products: Halo 100

Solinear have designed, manufactured and installed their Halo panelled solar shading system to a major new manufacturing sector project for Eleather who supply high-tech leather for rail and aviation businesses around the globe.

The project is the latest scheme at the 240-acre Peterborough Gateway development, where Solinear have already installed their products on other buildings on the development.

Solinear’s system had to provide sufficient solar coverage to the south during high intensity periods around the summer solstice when the sun’s angle is at its highest, whilst not adding a heavy load to the building.

To overcome the challenge, Solinear specified their Halo 150 7-fin panel system that gave the right level of protection from solar heat gain, whist being lightweight enough to not overload the building.

Solinear’s bespoke integral glazing brackets were used to deliver neat and contemporary cantilevered panel system that will keep energy costs low and building inhabitants comfortable for years to come.
