The advanced composite material of the future providing a natural and sustainable ‘timber effect’.
Medera Resina™ meets both today’s and tomorrow’s need for a technical, sustainable, and ecological usage demand.
The high durability and sustainability that our Medera Resina™ product range offers enables completely new applications of man-made composite materials in the manufacture of solar shading and architectural louvre systems.
The fibre reinforced hybrid material is produced from approximately 60% rice husks, 22% common salt and 18% mineral oil. Blended and extruded to form a rigid material, which makes it both environmentally friendly as well as extremely weather resistant against sun, rain, snow or salt water.
Medera Resina™ requires minimal care and offers the look and feel of natural timber. A variety of coloured surface treatments are available to provide choice of colour and favoured wood representations on the building.
The Medera Resina™ product looks and feels like a real tropical hardwood and has inherent design properties which ensure the material remains free from cracks, splits and shakes under long term use.
The material is water resistant and 100% sustainable and therefore provides a homogeneous material that is fully stable when exposed to the external environmental conditions that prevail in the UK.
The product is currently available in a select range of geometric profiles suitable for either solar shading or architectural louvre screening projects.
