What is CHAS?
The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS), established in 1997, is a highly respected and trusted scheme promoting the benefits of excellent health and safety practises and awareness within industries and business. The CHAS certification/certificate for accreditation is intended for consultants and contractors who work with private and public sector organisations.
Why is CHAS certification important?
The objective of CHAS certification is to aid purchasers as well as contractors in the process of health and safety competence assessment – making it straightforward for potential clients to gain an insight into a company’s working standards, with regards to health and safety; An aspect of the company that Solinear takes extremely seriously especially now with the extra consideration of limiting the spread of virus and infections.
CHAS also guides contractors through any shortcomings in safety management, thereby helping them to improve in this area. This commitment to consistent improvement of standards can be highly attractive to potential clients. CHAS also minimises the lengthy process of contractor assessment regarding health and safety standards therefore if a client needs to promptly source a contractor, sifting through reams of questionnaire submissions will not be an appealing prospect. CHAS and Covid19
